Deseamos informarles que las reuniones t\u00e9cnicas para colaboradores de SETPR, originalmente pautadas para los d\u00edas 13 al 15 de mayo de 2025, han sido canceladas. Esta decisi\u00f3n responde a la Resoluci\u00f3n y Orden del 30 de abril de 2025 emitida por el Negociado de Energ\u00eda de Puerto Rico, la cual ordena posponer la radicaci\u00f3n del Plan Integrado de Recursos de 2025 (PIR 2025) a una fecha pendiente a determinarse.<\/p>\n
La cancelaci\u00f3n de las reuniones de SETPR le permite a LUMA enfocarse en completar el PIR 2025 incorporando los cambios requeridos por la Ley 1-2025 y por las condiciones cambiantes del sistema el\u00e9ctrico. Estas reuniones ser\u00e1n reagendadas previo a la radicaci\u00f3n del PIR 2025 final para garantizar la transparencia y la comunicaci\u00f3n continua con todos los colaboradores. Esta decisi\u00f3n refleja la necesidad de incorporar los requerimientos de la Ley 1-2025 y cambios clave en el sistema de generaci\u00f3n, los cuales impactan la planificaci\u00f3n de recursos, los supuestos de modelaje y los resultados del PIR 2025.<\/p>\n
Debido a los cambios significativos en la pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica energ\u00e9tica, el modelaje preliminar compartido en la Primera y Segunda Radicaci\u00f3n Interina ya no refleja el marco legal, t\u00e9cnico o de pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica. Por ende, con el fin de alinearse con la Resoluci\u00f3n del 30 de abril del Negociado de Energ\u00eda, LUMA est\u00e1 llevando a cabo nuevos an\u00e1lisis que incorporan la pol\u00edtica p\u00fablica prevaleciente y las condiciones cambiantes del sistema el\u00e9ctrico para presentar una proyecci\u00f3n m\u00e1s certera sobre las necesidades del sistema energ\u00e9tico de Puerto Rico.<\/p>\n
LUMA se encuentra trabajando de cerca con el Negociado de Energ\u00eda y con su Consultor T\u00e9cnico para incorporar estos cambios al modelaje del PIR 2025 y as\u00ed desarrollar un mapa realista y guiado por datos que apoye la transformaci\u00f3n de Puerto Rico hacia un sistema energ\u00e9tico confiable y resiliente.<\/p>\n

We wish to inform you that the SETPR technical and stakeholder meetings originally scheduled for May 13\u201315, 2025, have been cancelled. This decision follows the Puerto Rico Energy Bureau\u2019s Resolution and Order of April 30, 2025, which postpones the submission of the 2025 Integrated Resource Plan (2025 IRP) to a later date to be determined.<\/p>\n
The cancellation of the SETPR meetings allows LUMA to focus on completing the 2025 IRP with the changes required by Act 1-2025 and evolving system conditions. These meetings will be rescheduled prior to the submission of the final 2025 IRP to ensure transparency and continued engagement with all stakeholders. The decision reflects the need to incorporate the Act 1-2025 requirements and key system generation changes that impact resource planning, modeling assumptions, and the 2025 IRP\u2019s outcomes.<\/p>\n
In view of significant changes to public energy policy, the preliminary modeling shared in the First and Second Interim Filings no longer reflects the current legal, technical, or policy framework. Therefore, in alignment with the Energy Bureau\u2019s April 30 Resolution, LUMA is conducting new analyses that incorporate the prevailing public policy and evolving system conditions to deliver a more accurate projection of Puerto Rico\u2019s energy system needs.<\/p>\n
LUMA is working closely with the Energy Bureau and its Technical Consultant to incorporate these changes into the 2025 IRP modeling and develop a realistic, data-driven roadmap that supports Puerto Rico\u2019s transformation to a reliable and resilient energy system.<\/p>\n
We appreciate your understanding and continued participation in the 2025 IRP process. We will provide a new timeline and next steps once a revised schedule is established by the Puerto Rico Energy Bureau.<\/p>\n
